I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
